Europlacer SMT pick and place machines are equipped with turret heads that can be fitted with 8 or 12 nozzles and feature an “on-the-fly” vision system that analyzes components from 01005 up to 50 x 50 mm. An increased component height of up to 34 mm can be placed by the turret head. Europlacer’s proprietary vision algorithm not only detects the correct orientation of the LED, it also ensures accurate placement by automatically rotating the placement orientation by up to 180° if an LED with incorrect orientation is detected.

The Europlacer 12-spindle SMT pick and place head – the “Tornado” – is the only SMT pick and place head that is able to place the full range of SMT components from 01005 to µBGAs, LEDs, large, odd-form and PoP components and connectors. The Tornado SMT pick and place head also enables a 10% increase in production for very small components compared to the 8-spindle SMT pick and place head.
