REASON #10
You prefer equipment with
superior NPI tools and fast setup.
Europlacer SMT pick and place machines are equipped with software featuring Europlacer's "New Production Introduction" (NPI) Wizard embedded in the production menu. It is used to validate a new SMT production run before placing any components. This unique NPI tool checks all parameters involved in an SMT placement program BEFORE any of your valuable components are placed.
You may have a very short run, or even just a single board to produce and just the right number of components for that SMT production run. Without Europlacer's NPI Wizard, if there is a problem with your component data such as your vision file, that component will be rejected and can no longer be used.
With Europlacer's NPI Wizard, you can test all parameters without placing any of your valuable SMT components, including the following critical SMT production parameters:
- fiducial marks
- placement coordinates
- component vision files
- feeder information
After loading a new PCB into the pick and place machine, the operator simply follows the steps to validate all parameters involved in the new SMT production run. When an incorrect parameter is detected, the software allows the operator to perform corrections and testing without exiting the production menu. The NPI Wizard's graphical user interface enables you to perform these corrections quickly and easily. Once all corrections are made, you can run your first board with confidence, ensuring that the SMT component placements are error-free.
In addition, Europlacer SMT pick and place machines are equipped with intelligent feeders, which are central to an SMT pick and place machine's ability to provide flexibility and productivity for high mix SMT production environments. SMT component feeder trolleys further aid fast setup and changeover.
